Job Description: Civil Engineer
Job Title: Project Engineer
This position is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects associated with structures, roads, bridges, dams, airports, water supply systems, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning: Create and develop civil engineering projects, including drafting and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Site Assessment: Conduct surveys, assessments to determine project feasibility/conditions, and assist with NPDES stormwater inspections, develop BMP plans, communicate with governing agencies.
- Project Management: Oversee construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and timelines.
- Collaboration: Work with developers, other engineers, government officials, and internal ACAI business divisions to ensure cohesive project development.
- Budgeting: Assist with creating invoices, accounts payable, and project proposals.
- Inspections and Quality Control: Perform site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to designs and specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Self-driven individual willing to address issues that arise during projects and propose engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
- Experience: Prior experience in civil engineering roles is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D), M365, strong mathematical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Work Environment:
Civil Engineers may work in office settings, on construction sites, or a combination of both, depending
on the project phase.
